Can I get a refund on a digital download?
Yes, under certain circumstances.
The Consumer Rights Act defines digital content as 'data which are produced and supplied in digital form.' This means your purchase of Usercart X falls into this catagory of product.
This means you have rights for anything you download or stream – including Usercart X.
Digital content must be:
- of satisfactory quality
- fit for a particular purpose
- as described by the seller
Repair or Replacement
The retailer has the opportunity to repair or replace any goods or digital content which are of unsatisfactory quality, unfit for purpose or not as described, before you can claim a refund.
If you don't want a refund and still want your product repaired or replaced, you have the right to request the retailer makes further attempts at a repair or replacement.
Refund will not be granted
When the product has installed and is working, then refund will not be granted. Refunds will not granted if Usercart X is purchased, but not downloaded.
Cancelling a Digital Download
Digital downloads are given their own unique category under the Consumer Contracts Regulations and are therefore not services or goods.
If you want to download something within 14 days of buying it, you will have to give your consent to waive the 14 day cooling-off period.
If you don't give your consent, the 14 day cooling-off period still applies but you won't be able to download your digital content until this period has ended.
This is to prevent you from changing your mind after you have downloaded the content.
User Software has a policy of NON-Cancellation, once Usercart X has been purchased you are free to use it. The rights to use the Title are Granted to you, the User.
You do not own the software, you have the rights to use the software in perpetuity.
At Usercart, we work hard to ensure that our products are of the highest quality. We provide Usercart X without warranty. 99.99% of our customer will enjoy our software and create many succesful businesses from it. However if you have a server with restrictions on it, it may not be possible to make Usercart X compatible with it, then in fairness after exhuative attempts by our staff to remedy the situation, even though they are rare. It is at the discretion of the Management to grant a refund in full if it is deemed reasonable.
